I can say that i am a good gang player, and i can tell you that his ult is now USELESS in any teamfight, gang or defence. All it is good for now is scouting and farming.
I can place a perfect ult, but who cares? the range is so small, and the slow is so bad, it doesn't even matter

Well, I can't say I've played alot of GP but I think his ulti could be alot more affective for team fights, EX: If they're pushing mid hard and get oop next to the tower? drop the ulti to slow them and initiate. But, I think no one really found the true power in Gang Plank previously with denying XP and I think Riot wanted to take that out before someone really abused that function in the fact that they'd mass outlevel the other team. Just my input though.
