Remember that people can make their e-mail appear as from anyone they want, only way to really check who it is from is either hover-over the e-mail before you open (in Hotmail at least), or hit "Reply" and see who the e-mail replies to.
It happens just as easy for WoW gamers because an impostor manages to steal their account in a very similar way.
1) If they ask for your password, delete the e-mail. Riot (or anyone else for that matter) will EVER ask for your password. They can check it themselves!
2) If it links you to a website be cautious about going to it, even if it's a fancy e-mail with a background image and everything. Website can either infect you with keyloggers and nasties alike, or they make you "sign in" with your account, just to steal your account information.

Yesterday or two days ago, I had my email and LoL account stolen.
I think it might be someone from MOBAFire, but I'm not sure.
I have recovered both account, I just wanted to warn people. I'm not sure it's from this webpage. Just so people out there know that, there MIGHT be a threat.
