If you haven't uninstalled Pando Media Booster already, do it now.

It's a program that does nothing - it's meant to facilitate P2P but LoL already has a program for that. This is the post from Smogon forums that made me uninstall it:

Quoted:
a warning regarding LoL: check your systems for pando media booster/PMD.exe

it's a p2p downloader for certain games. it basically makes a load of ****py udp connections and eats your bandwidth. this randomly appeared in my list of removable programs after reinstalling LoL when that patch broke it. it's designed to be non malicious, so it's easily removed via add/remove programs.

love this quote though "Pando Media Booster will only transfer fragments of files that you had previously streamed or requested to download. It will do so sparingly to ensure minimal use of your PC resources."

my *** it uses minimal usage. my poor routers at home almost died a death with the hundreds of connections it creates. seriously, whoever thought it was okay to install this **** without your permission shouldn't be allowed near computers.

This like kinda old. lol. But yea if you have bandwith limits definitely uninstall PMB. Otherwise it's much like any other P2P program. If it causes excessive lag you can turn it off by ending PMB.exe process in you task manager.
Flipping tables is fun!

I uninstalled it before I even knew this stuff, I just thought it was some sort of game booster which I already have, so I wanted to clear up some space.

If it's stupid but works, it isn't stupid.

As long as it doesn't install viruses that's fine. But I will look into it and delete if found.
