I was playing around with the idea of putting a Hextech Gunblade on an otherwise completely AP Lux, but I couldn't figure out if I was getting lifesteal or spellvamp off her passive...anyone know if it's an on hit effect or not?

BTW the build idea was: Sorc. Shoes, Nashor's Tooth, Lich Bane, Deathcap, AA staff, Hextech GB

EDIT: What is with me and typos in names of threads?

ALSO: This is more of a fun, we're-raping-your-face-so-hard-I-can-do-that kind of build.
Although (in a real game for seriousness), crazy-wacko DPS Lux passed the I-can-still-murder-you test.

Lux's passive is an on-hit. I don't think you'd be getting any vamp past just the regular AD.

Just curious, it actually seemed to work pretty well. The Nashor's gave me enough AS to pop nearly every target with an Illumination charge easily enough....and it hurt quite a bit because I had the gunblade...Plus I still had the AP to do a lot of damage.

I've never tried AD Lux.

I think all my time of playing supports has given me this aversion to being in auto attack range unless I'm chasing someone clearly going to die and auto attack will ensure that kill.

Don't +Rep me at all. I like my obscurity. Thank you.

Lux isn't exactly a support...and it's more AP with a hybrid item than AD

Heh, well, you carry on with your AP hybriding. :)

I suppose it's never crossed my mind, since I enjoy the rare times when I can get some stupid high AP with her and that's been enough for me.

Edit: Sorry, two posts in your thread and I haven't even been anywhere near helpful with topic. B-Wong's comment makes the most sense to me, though. See some threads on the official forums sometimes, lots of grey areas for these things.
