It's more about playstyle then build imo. Alistair could build 5 IE's and I wouldn't blink, it's his moves that make him a great support (mind you that heal is scary with a deathcap). There are def optimal ways to build so that you get the most out of your support skills (eg, alistair with 5 deathcaps does better support then alistair with 5 IE's) but ultimately it's skill > build.
I'm so happy to hear so many different opinions....maybe I should make this "Brain food of the day" thing a more regular thing....lol XD
