The rune page I use on Alistar:
Marks> 9 Magic pen
Seals> 9 Health regen/level (Doran's ring is always enough mana regen for me)
Glyphs> 9 AP/level (since no one likes magic pen glyphs apparently)
Quints> 1 movement speed, 2 AP/level

Ignore The Bard.
MrP marks ofc.
MP5, MP5/lvl or armor seals. Just make sure that you have enough mana in the lane.
AP/lvl or CDR glyphs. Maybe even MR if you think you're too squishy.

I suggest this, also consider MS quints though, they are really good on cow for positioning since that's key on him no matter the role.

Don't mean to be taking sides on the bard vs searz discussion but I don't see the point in using Health regen runes... i'd definitely take the mp5 ones (or as stated, armor... but i'd rather take the mp5 ones).
As alistar if you have mana you can just spam heals to get back up (no point in waiting for the health to regen slowly).

I just don't have mana issues with Ali...don't know why or how...but I never have
EDIT: Which according to your guide, Searz, is a reasonable option. Why take what I don't need? I don't need extra mana regen on Alistar so I chose to replace it with health regen.

But what do you think the runes are? I guess he's going the "normal" 9/0/21 in masteries, but I'm a bit unsure about the runes.
Would love to get the same results as that cow, since I'm starting to get a good grip on him ;)

However I thought; hey, he's pro, maybe he got some imba rune setup. Do you know alternatives? ;)
