Screw damage also... he only has 1 flat burst and that is Alpha strike... which has a pretty killing cooldown.. he only stomps noobs.

As much as any build can be justified. Sometimes things just shouldn't change. Ap yi, ap yi?
I hate em both. I dont want to see either variation of the champ in my ranked games. Becuase no mater what, he is shut down to easily.

AP trynda is legit, Dante is my witness.
But yea I agree a AP yi is rather shut down to easily and becomes useless late game once people buy some MR.
