Qft. Double your attack dmg + Sheen (which eventually gets turned into a trinity force). That's your damage dealer for AD. I play AP and use a Lich Bane rather than do that (same **** happens, amirite?)

You need to check how it fits in your team...
If you already got 1-2 good tanks and your team is missing some physical DPS that build will go extremely well since the majority of the players won't expect high dps from a Blitzcrank.
However, if your team only got one tank or even only one semi-tank, you will be forced to go into a tank build for the sake of your team.
Blitz is one of my favourite champions since he can be an awesome tank with an extremely powerful way to initiate ganks and clashes or being able to deal tremendous amounts of dmg.
I like to refer him as the "Disco-dancing win-bot" :D
