[/quote] Wrong. This is why the stigma of Hemophilia is still in the stone age. We cant bleed to death if we get punched in the arm or get a paper cut. That shit will heal in the same amount of time like anyone else. Surface wounds heal quickly in anyone because of the 3 layers of skin. The Epidermis, Dermis, and Subcutaneous Tissue. Unless it is deep enough to reach that 3rd layer, it will heal up like anyone because your skin is constantly 'repairing' itself all the time. Hemophilia is an inherited deficiency that in my case, has eliminated Factor VIII from my DNA, and that is a clotting factor that I don't have which makes it hard for me to clot at a quick and safe rate. Think internal. The example I like to give is the paper cut. If we both get a paper cut, they will heal in the same amount of time, but if we both get into a car wreck, and have the same injuries in the same place, mine would be more life threatening than yours would.[/quote]
