You have a solid build order and a good understanding of how he plays, based on the guide. There are still some improvements you can make, though:
First off, I recommend maxing E over W, or at least skilling them evenly. With your Ghostblade active, you won't need attack speed as much as you will need crowd control, and an extended Fear duration is incredibly powerful, since Nocturne is one of three champions in the game to get a Fear. Your shield and attack speed bonus is great, but with Ghostblade, I feel like the Fear is just better.
Good call taking Ghost+Exhaust. I really don't like having Heal so high up on your list of alternative choices, though. You do mention Cleanse there, but I would make it more noticeable, since that's definitely the third best option on an assassin character.
Perhaps run mana regen Seals instead of attack speed? Nocturne has a poor mana pool and will have difficulty keeping his mana up in the lane unless he has a really reliable support champ, so I would definitely recommend Greater Seals of Clarity just to keep your mana up. That way, you could actually hold off on getting your Catalyst if you wanted to.
Finally, I'd say Mercury Treads belong in the main build. Regardless of his Shield and his Banshee's, CC is a huge issue for just about any assassin champion, and any champ in general. Mercury Treads are the best boots in the game, so I would definitely pick them over AS boots any day.
Well done. This will get a recommendation from me if you adjust your build slightly to my comment.
For one, you probably should add some more situational items. Maybe continue to explain that Guardian Angel you mentioned or go on about other items that don't do well on him at all.
I like the subtle coloring you put in for the guide. It helps catch different things that you might need to know.
Don't bash revive completely. As the assassin, with 1 CC on you, you die pretty quick. It could prove to be a nice investment so you can ult back to the fight, AKA
Ghost + Exhaust is my favorite combo. Nice choices there. XD
Maybe you could go over the skills. That way, new people don't jump in completely clueless about what they do, as not everyone actually looks before the game. You could also elaborate on how important they are and their usefulness.
+1 from me when I am able to vote on this.
Merc treds is a must if they have 4+ cc
and commenting on what jebus's said above i think w or e is one of those choice things they ase both very useful, but hard decision on what to max first, ive tried both ways and they seem to work equally well.
For runes id pick mana regen for seals and atk speed for glyphs, i know that speed glyph are not primary, but i feel they help better then cooldown glyphs
First of all, skill order and "W or E first?" problem. I wrote "if you are building some big AS items, like Phantom Dancer, you can lvl up Unspeakable Horror before Shroud of Darkness", so it's pretty the same what you guys recommended. I triend to lvl up E before W and it workes very well too:)
That Heal... Just as I noticed, it's only for someone who plays a champion for the first time and doesn't know him that well. I don't use Heal. Never. On any champion. It was just an advice for ppl new to Nocturne:P
Thanks for reminding me about Seals of Clarity:P Good idea, I will add this to my guide.
About Glyphs... CDR are the only ones I have atm, I'm just too lazy to buy other ones:D But I guess Glyphs with AS are good too, I'll buy them some day. And I forgot that blue buff that I was talking about also gives some nice CDR :P I will also try Mercury's Treads and write in guide what do I think about them.
And I would prefer Phantom Dancer that Black Cleaver since you have already enough armor penetration.
I think taking Flash would be better than ghost since you can save your self better thatn ghost. You already have duskbringer.
And I would prefer Phantom Dancer that Black Cleaver since you have already enough armor penetration.
Flash is listed in the summoner skills section, and phantom dancer is in the last item section. I think Phantom Dancer is a great alternative, but probably for Bloodthirster or last item, not the Black Cleaver. The armor pen from Ghostblade is not enough by itself.
Good idea! I will add this chapter today, thx dude and thx for your good words!
@The Zone
Well... Just like I said in my guide, I'm not a Flash fan due to it's loooong cooldown:P
Yeah... Phantom Dancer... I thought about it, but you already have good AS from your W skill. And movement speed is not a problem, if you want to get back to your lane faster just use Q. That 35 armor pen (from runes and Youmuu's) is enough for enemy casters, but try to kill Garen or a real tank like Rammus with it:P Pretty hard, isn't it? This is why I like The Black Cleaver so much ^^
@Juiget
Hey man! I already voted on your guide, I really liked it:D If I will go to jungle, I will definetely try your guide (but just like I said, I would still go 21/0/9 in masteries:P). Also thx for your comment, glad you like it:)
@vgfanatic2
haha, enought said, thx for your support xD
