Well, as long as you don't go making guides for this. (cuz you'd really just be wasting time, yours and others')
Just follow Elementz's tier lists for good top bans.
"Blizzard spoke thus; Thou shalt not BM. And the players replied Nay, I shall Play my hand with Lethal already on the board. And so Blizzard sent unto them this Brawl of Yogg, As a lesson for their sins of Pride and Greed, for he is the Prophet of Madness and RNG. On that day, the tavern descended into an era of chaos and darkness, until the weekend passed and everyone forgot all about it. Amen. Book of SMOrc, Verse 20, Chapter 4." - Feam T

I agree with Searz.

I tried this long ago (LONG ago), and it simply didn't work.

Why? Because the meta changes so quickly, and buffs/nerfs and new discoveries (revolver vlad!) happen so fast that unless you're willing to watch streams hours per day and look at all the current bans/picks and keep up with the meta and keep the guide updated on a near-daily basis, it just won't happen. Things move more quickly than your guide can ever move.

If anyone really wants to know the up-to-date bans/picks, then go watch a stream or two and note the champions they're banning. Tournaments are good for noting picks, provided you know which champs are just player preferences (for instance, scarra plays katarina but she's not considered tier 1 despite scarra kicking *** with her). Bans are harder to discern from tournaments because 90% of bans are to counter the enemy, who they know plays a certain champ.

TL:DR dont do it. You can't keep up.

That list is pretty good at the moment, the main problem with making a "guide like this is that the bans are going to change a lot, and often. Most people will just refer to Elementz's tier list to see who to pick / ban, and he actually updates that often and has a good following. You can feel free to try, but I don't think it will turn out well. It's also different for different ELO's.

Also, Udyr's still probably ban worthy, he's a top tier jungler. Gangplank is also really good still.
Thanks to GrandMasterD for my sig!

Even Elementz doesn't keep up fully.
But he's the only guy who even tries and the list is mostly correct.
