Generally I am all for the life steal and spell vamp, but as I see it the build has one fatal flaw; no base hp... those 2,2k hp will vanish in matter of a few seconds, thus making you extremely vulnerable to ranged cc and nukers.. Though as always it depends on your playstyle.. :)
Very true, I've been getting Phage earlier on more often, and sometimes even as my first item.
This is not an optimal build, only 50% of gunblade is utilized, low survivability. Safeguard is needed for a lvl3 fight at top.
Spellvamp works for all of Lee Sins spells, even the physical damage ones, so not a waste at all.

I also agree with this I suggest that you drop the gunblade. Hold onto the pick axe and shoes early game and work towards a fast Sanguine Blade this will give you that life steal. Once you have the sanguine turn the pick axe into either a last whisper which is cheap and go for a entropy. Or if you really want to keep that insane early damage turn the pick axe into a infinity edge.
I also suggest replacing hex drinker with a wits end. The cash flow in dominion is fast so you can get epic items fast.

I'll have to agree. I'm considering putting off the finished blade towards the end, but the
the early game damage is amazing, and lategame the 1v1/2v2 potential is amazing while also being a slippery capper
