hey just a short question

played TT with singed against a team that had ****loads of CC
so I went straight for mercurys treads (after that catalyst thing for RoA) and instantly got flamed by those naabs in my team, telling me that "omfg noob singed has ulti omfg noob get speed boots" have put them on ignore then, but thats pissing me off, first of all what the **** do they care which boots i take, second i like that additional MR from it + i think the tenacity stacks with singeds ulti (?) even if not, for the time when I have no ulti i like to have mercurys

so are mercurys really such a bad choice on singed????

They're great. They are the boots of choice for most mid/high elo players.

A quick analysis if you are interested:

Singeds ult and Mercury Treads stack multiplicatively
--> Basically this means, it results in dimnishing returns, as in: Shoes do not reduce CC-time by 35% if ult is active, it effectively reduces it by another 24.5% resulting in a total reduction of 54.5%

Note: Even though the effect is reduced, it's still very powerful

Getting Boots of Swiftness adds a flat 20 movement speed over Mercury Treads, which is noticable but not a whole lot. (in fact, it's reduced too above a certain value of ms..)

In my opinion, either choice is fine. Although I vote for Ninja Tabi and another Tenacity item in most cases.

That's kinda worse than what they have now...
Unless you're suggesting that they get bumped to 120 movespeed.

Boots of Swiftness should get an active, which increases your movement speed for a short period of time, if you activate it.

That would be cool, especially on Singed^^
