Unfortunately Akali is never free, I've been playing since February and she's only been in rotation one time.
Forgot about that when I suggested her. :P
AD poppy is more comparable to Tryndamere than Akali ^^
Cheers, I reccomend GP, he's much easier, very strong, and his kit is forgiving. He allows you to make mistakes without paying for them.

I play AD Poppy as well, but either AD or AP are difficult to build.
AP has a extreme burst of damage: stun-Q-money, or ult-Q-money, or whatever.
AD can fight better, the skill damage isnt as huge as AP Poppy, but she can stay there and attack enemies, whats an advantage.
I recommend Akali, she may be difficult to play, but really strong. If you want tips, we are all here to help.
