Idk what elo u play at (its not 1400), but I can GUARANTEE you that you wont get a double kill on bottom lane when u are lv 2... unless they burned both flashes AND exhaust in the first 2 minutes of the game and they thought they could fight 3v2 and win.
Either way they aren't too good at this game. The only person i could feasibly see getting a lv 2 double kill is someone with a crazy slow or insane burst at lv 2. Im thinking riven, lee sin, and chogath. Udyr has... a one second stun. If you ever get to a higher elo, you will quickly find that phoenix is superior. There's a reason the high elos play phoenix udyr instead of tiger jungle udyr.
Kog maw+taric bot, go figure how we killed em both.
Their soraka dropped in a stun, and I got ashe's flash with mine allowing kog to slow all her path.
update:
I moved back to phoenix, was winning with tiger, still winning with phoenix (12 consecutive wins when allowed to udyr).
I'm thinking about trying starting with tiger, gank at lvl 2 with bear, get lvl 3 turtle to go back to jungle, start maxing phoenix from lvl 4 I dunno jungling is sure to get slowed for a bit, yet I wanna see if that early edge for the ganked lane is worth the trade for a lil slower jungle

reds, flat ad is ideal for early game tiger jungle.
Nope. ArP is just as good if not better. (depending on how much you use. ~10 would be optimal)

quints... gah. I used to run flat ad quints for lane udyr, and I felt incredibly slow. Yet at the same time, I feel like tiger jungle needs it (im not very experienced with the jungle aspect of tiger).
AD quints are pretty necessary to be able to jungle at a good speed. Otherwise you'll almost be slow in the jungle.

If you are going tiger jungle, why the hell aren't you specing into more offense? Tiger abuses the offensive tree, yet you put most of your points in defense and utility.
Try 15/0/15 with armor flats. I really think you will like the difference.

Yea, there's no reason to go into defense when you scale very good with offense.

You don't really have to choose between one or the other. Sure, your first and second back are going to be either tiger or phoenix jungle. But you don't have to choose one or the other in the long run. I usually leave turtle at 3 unless im getting pounded on, because Udyr gets plenty tanky and has enough sustain anyways. Plus, the synergy between Tiger and Phoenix is just something you can't afford to pass up.
I disagree. The shield is too good to pass up.
I'm a strong independent black mage who don't need no mana.

It seems you're playing quite weird.
I'd agree with Restrict on that Udyr isn't designed to gank at lvl2.

The reason why Udyr is so broken in the jungle is because of his skill damage. Which is magic damage. Sure, arp will speed it up ever so slightly, but Udyr starts with base 56 AD (not including runes), so you only get a small amount of extra damage. He would be better off with mpen runes or flat ad runes.

It can be, but when you have over 150 of both resistances and 3k health, the extra 80 health on the shield (or whatever it is) isnt going to make THAT much of a difference. and in contrast you have not only maxed tiger, but maxed phoenix as well. Both of which synergize better than any other skills in the game.

I'm confident that 10 ArP will have about the same jungle speed early on and deal more damage overall. AD marks are only better the first few levels and are quickly passed by the ArP marks. (in case you didn't know: AD quints is a different matter because they give more stats than the AD marks)

Since you adjust your build depending on which skill you focus on (Phoenix/Tiger), it's not a good idea to max the other one when your items, runes and masteries all scale better with the first one.
Durability and utility (turtle+bear) is always useful, so I use 1 skill for damage, the one that my build scales with.
Damage isn't THAT necessary anyways, since Udyr's stunning prowess is pretty damn scary. A stun with 5sec CD per target is STRONK, so he can just focus on disabling enemies if wanted.

Meh. I guess im just used to a different style of Udyr. I also forgot we were talking about tiger stance. In that sense, I suppose arp would be stronger long term assuming you go for a triforce build or something similar. On the other hand, I play phoenix Udyr in the jungle, where AS is really the only way to go.
However, if I play Udyr in lane, I do take the ad reds for early lane control.

Yeap, AS marks is the obvious choice on Phoenix Udyr.
