I read the full guide. What you said about not needing the second passive is just foolish. Any denial of a free stat that SCALES is silly. Not to mention, one of Akali's main attributes is her fantastic early game power, you give up a lot of this without activating her second passive.
free stat? having to get 10 ad for meager 10% spell vamp, doesn't sound all that free to me :/
and i didn't say that you don't need it, i said that i do not find myself in need of sacrificing my extra AP for it.

i said that i do not find myself in need to get the second passive since hextech revolver grants me more than enough spell vamp, but if you like starting with Dorans, go ahead and do it, i find myself perfoming perfectly without the second passive ;)

You only activate one of akali's passives and don't even attempt to activate the second for a WHILE. To be honest, that's a horrible call, especially since it gives so much spell vamp. I recommend starting with a Doran's Blade rather than amp tome since you're not running any AD runes or 21/0/9
