This suggestion has been beaten to death. Or so I've been told, the reason it ISN'T like that already is because there are multitiudes of people who actively USE this site, but do not have an account and see no reason to vomment or vote.
Making there be a base minimum of ~25 comments would discourage those sets of people who actively look but never "touch" this site. There are many guides that have inspired people to join and vote JUST for that one guide. Those are the people I am referring to directly. The "Joined to vote on your awesome guide" group of people.
All in all, I would like the "comment to vote" system to persist past 20 votes. I can understand that such a thing would encourage revenge votes, but if someone is just waiting to downvote a guide anyway then at least there will be evidence for people WHO READ COMMENTS, to see that someone was trolling. Lesser of 2 evils imo.
But yes this idea has been discussed more than Pam Anderson's tits in a plastic surgeons office.

When you write a guide, you have to keep this in mind: people are going to troll.
You can be 100% right about everything, but there are people who think their opinion is the best and must be accepted and will downvote your guide. Or they can downvote and say "I didnt like".
Dont let that bother you, theres no prize for having the best rated guide

Yet my guide went down to 75% in a day.
I'm bummed out by this because I worked really hard on this guide and I feel I deserve atleast an explanation as to why I got downvoted. And I am sure many others have this feeling as well for their own guides or towards others.
For this I'm going to try and put up a suggestion: In order to vote, you must have atleast 25 comments placed in, most preferably, the forums.
This is a rough first layer of an idea. I'm not sure how this would go down but I'm pretty sure it's 100% do-able.
Anyone with me?
