Thanks for the feedback guys! I know, many people bug me about getting AP on Karma (or any support really) but in ranked play you won't get to a point where you can start building AP items without dropping a Shurelia's, Oracle's, etc from your items.

Even if you do hoard gold enough to buy high level items you would grab the Randuins, Frozen Heart, etc in this build since it's for an off tank.
The idea of this build is to the fill the basic support role (heals, escapes, shields, vision) and also an off-tank role (CC, defense, damage soak). While I agree building AP on Karma would increase her heals and shield and thus would be beneficial in perhaps an more support mage build, its not what this build is about :s

(Also, bear in mind Karma has amazing durability in fights with this build and gains AP as her health drops. So a tanky Karma with a low percent of health left has that nasty damage and healing/shielding you guys want to see on her.)

I get what you mean, but if you play Karma as a bottom lane support you still need to get gold/10 items because you simply can't steal farm from your carry.
Karma is much better in mid or top, there she can farm easily and get a lot of AP, dealing huge damage ^^
Considering the fact that is a support guide, however, it is written for Karma laning bot, in which case I still think she needs gold/10.

I'm sorry that I did not make myself clear enough, I think gold per second items are wonderfull to all supports, except for Karma. All other supports than Karma should roll with gold per second.
I just don't find it suitable on Karma, she really needs the ability power elsewhy she won't be worth much, and will be overshined by other supports.

EDIT: If you check my Taric guide, you'll be able to see that I also use gold per second for supports. It is only Karma, but if you decide to roll with 1 gold per second item for her, it would be the one grating 25+ ability power (forgot the name ^^)

You know you're not supposed to farm as a support, right?

So, the two things that your gold income will depend on are:

• Assists
• Gold/10

You NEED gold/10 items as a support. I agree with you when you say she needs AP (because she really does), but no gold per 10 on a support is really bad...

I dunno if I'm being a sheep voter here, but GOLD-PER-SECOND for KARMA?! Why?!... Karma needs ability power, almost build like a mage. Without this she will be very useless, her shield and her lovely heal won't do a thing, she's useless without AP. Even as Support, never get gold per second, unless its the one granting 25+ ability power.

Why is AP not needed for Karma? Her heal is not very strong without it and her shield strength (as well as the damage it can deal with combined with Mantra) is also greatly increased.

I think AP on Karma is a must.

Rabadon's Deathcap is not bought because it increases her damage, but because it increases her support skills. The fact that it also increases her damage is simply a nice bonus ;)
