Boxes. That's the only reason people build him AP. It's only good for trolling. And even then, it's not good for that anymore.
AP Shaco is actually strong.

The reason people bush camp as AP Shaco is because if they step outside of their bush a Cannon minion will walk (roll) by and 1-Shot them...Not to mention CVing a bush with Shaco in it, where he's presumeably been stacking boxes, will cause creeps to rush him and then set them all off (i think). When a champion relies RELIES on other people's mistakes to be at his/her full potential there's an issue. I'm not talking about hit and run tactics, no I'm talking about the fact that AP Shaco WHOLLY relies on his boxes to be at his best...
AP Shaco is squish, more so than AD Shaco IMO. Another issue in general with him. It's just not worth it when I could have an actual AP champ, I get stuck with some sort of bastard child that brings NOTHING to the table if the enemy isn't a group of full-on ******s.
Heimer is TOO niche to be all that good. He camps towers in dominion, beyond that he's a pathetic champ compared to what he used to be.

Yeah, but then you'll be useless. Getting AD is a lot better, at least you can fight when needed. Like swarm said, its a troll build.
There are more HP/Armor/MR+AP items than there are HP/Armor/MR+AD items.
Honestly, starting in the jungle and transitioning to a strong late game is what AP shaco should be doing.

I guess the same could be said about junglers and most champs then.
Cass' strength? The mistake that they're facing toward you.
Xerath's strength? The mistake that they got close enough to let you land an E-Q-RRR combo.
Udyr's strength? Ganks that only happen if they over-extend like they're not supposed to.
AP Shaco's strengths? Box utility and strong ganks while being stronger if AP Shaco is dumb and he stacks boxes and leads even dumber enemies into said boxes.

Cass/Xerath/Udyr all capable champions with no need for someone to make a mistake for them to do well. Taking advantage of a mistake is not the same thing as relying on one.
I haven't seen an AP Shaco (save one EVER) do well in a game. Not because they weren't trying, or trolling, because the other team was full of beefy champs, all of whom 3 shot shaco after he appeared. Where does AP Shaco fit in? is he going to try and single out an Annie? nope, how about Teemo? Nope...No Shaco's going to sit in a ****ing bush and wait, but then his whole team is dead and he does nothing useful.
There are much better champs with a lot less complication ALL of whom will eat an AP Shaco. Even with a cooperative team, if the enemy has wards (and they probably will) then Shaco has no where he can set up, if they get Oracle's his decieve is useless. ETC ETC.

Evelynn is not the worst champion in the league. I find ways around the enemies' attempts to keep me from making her useful. Same thing with Katarina.
Anybody that relies on a lot of skill shots is quite pitiful. Too easy to dodge for the most part. Doesn't mean they are bad... I love playing Ezreal.
It's really hard to think of who could actually be the worst. Cassiopeia inhales vigorously...
Must not be playing against good Cass's then. If anything Ez<Cass by a lot.
