I ran the numbers on the build and it's okay (not terrible). Black Cleaver applies a debuff that stacks to 3. Your Hallucinate only increases the rate at which you apply these stacks by 33%. At above 1.5 attack speed, the amount of time saved applying stacks becomes negligible. lets say you swapped this out for a Phantom Dancer. you'd lose:
- the obvious debuff stacking mechanism
- 55 ad
you'd gain:
+ 15% movement speed
+ 25% attack speed
+ 30% chance to do 2.6 times normal damage (with an AA crit)
The cleaver is a preference, personally i only find high armor targets to make this item viable (as a situational).
My post was made at the time before the Shaco box nerf. They were a LOT stronger back then, and, of course, lasted 9 seconds. I still stand by what I said elsewhere, I can't agree with his build, and the fact he discourages counter jungling on Shaco is ludicrous, in my opinion.
All points I made regarding boxes were pre-change/nerf Shaco (both the nerf where damage was taken from them and so was range (but they get +25 place range, woohoo) and the one where they lasted 60 rather than 90 seconds), I'd like to add, though.
Now if you are building a hybrid or AP shaco. Xenasis gets the point, due to the scaling damage/rank on the boxes being bonkers (you only get 20% of your AP added to their damage per strike, but the boxes hit ~6-7 times if attacking their full life duration. That is ~120% AP scaling!). But you don't build AP Shaco the same as you would AD Shaco.
I won't side with Xenasis or Heat on the matter of the downvote. Just going to point out the up/downsides to both opinions.
Olaf jungles with low health, and you can easily show up to kill him every now and then.
Maokai is hard to beat if he is blue buffed, but you can easily outdamage him before he gets tanky enough to block your damage.
Rammus might seem like a very hard fight, but all you have to do is check for his powerball, if he lands it on you, instantly lay a jack in the box down and he will be forced to move around OR die trying to fight you, then again, moving around would mean a chance for your passive, thus making him more vulnerable.
Nocturne is just as squishy as shaco, but his fear depends on his target being around, which you can easily block by deceiving in place to cancel most of the fear duration, causing, then, nocturne's death afterwards.
And there you go, a few junglers that are quite easy to deal with as shaco :P
I give you the upvote, but you should list a few junglers which stand no chance to shaco, rather than simply saying that shaco can't 1v1 properly :)
While it does provide very good stats and a passive to be really feared, I just think that you have a lot of better equipment, such as the infinity edge, maybe a stark's fervor, I'm not sure...
In any case, your guide does deserve the +1 though. Since it's just a personal thing with always losing games when I use Black Cleaver >.>
Thanks again, keep up the good work.
