He can take on many aggressive solos such as Irelia and Olaf (Probably won't kill but will not give them an easy time) with his two cc's and passive. Cho'gath has everlasting farm with his passive and can shrug off a lot of harass and farm at the same time.
But if he gets severely zoned at lvl 2 then he will have problems but using spells can at least not lose his lane by a difference of two levels (I.e Hero Winning is Level 7 while Hero Losing is Level 5).
Best in my opinion.

Shyvana is a good top, but has a high skillcap(And sustain ****s her lol).
Laned once against a good Shyv, she was quite a challenge but nothing special.
Was prolly just me being inexperience to vs her.

Agreed. She also bones passive laners up the *** because they can't do anything to her.
