Why are people so cocky in their guides?

All you 'High Elo' players, sitting on your beloved thrones. It's easy to be mocking and judging from up there. You've all been newbies, or at least "not-high-elo" players... Instead of pointing out on the forums that the new guides suck, why not guide the newer guides (who are not TOTALLY terrible)? With some explaining why something he/she choose, won't work? To me it's common sense. I used to be a hardcore WoW player, and you see tactics on the internet against some arena teams, they're 80% bullsh*t. So you guide these less experienced players...!
