Hey guys just wondering if anyone here would have any idea on how to convert LoL Replays to youtube capable formats. Have tried using fraps but it doesn't seem to work well at all.

Very jumpy on playback, seems to sit around 20 fps and lower.

Any more suitable Software or advice to get a better performance?

Thanks in advance
Murdoch

lmao, lol replay is not a video format, its a set of instructions for the lol client to execute, if you read their FAQ you would know. to make it a video you must record over it with fraps or some other screen capture software like camtasia or camstudio

This pretty much.
If you are using fraps I highly suggest going to the LoLReplay settings and enabling the fraps fix if you have not done so.

Fraps is a universal Windows application that can be used with games using DirectX or OpenGL graphic technology. In its current form Fraps performs many tasks and can best be described as:

Benchmarking Software - Show how many Frames Per Second (FPS) you are getting in a corner of your screen. Perform custom benchmarks and measure the frame rate between any two points. Save the statistics out to disk and use them for your own reviews and applications.

Screen Capture Software - Take a screenshot with the press of a key! There's no need to paste into a paint program every time you want a new shot. Your screen captures are automatically named and timestamped.

Realtime Video Capture Software - Have you ever wanted to record video while playing your favourite game? Come join the Machinima revolution! Throw away the VCR, forget about using a DV cam, game recording has never been this easy! Fraps can capture audio and video up to 2560x1600 with custom frame rates from 1 to 120 frames per second!

All movies are recorded in outstanding quality.

I am more than well aware that .lrf is not a video format, I have read the FAQ. If you had read my OP instead of being ignorant and jumping to conclusions you would realise I had already tried recording over the replay with other such recording software. I really dislike your arrogance and attempts to embarrass someone by suggesting they do something that the clearly already have tried, perhaps you should go elsewhere to make yourself feel more intelligent.

So the actual useful posts I received, I have tried the "Fraps fix" that LoLReplay suggests, however also in the FAQs I noticed they recommend using something other than fraps. I have tried camtasia with the same results. Jumpy play back, so I am at an impasse as the extent of my video creating expertise is somewhat limited. The replay itself goes smooth, so I have to assume its the recording software I'm using that is having trouble interfacing with the replay?

If its unavoidable at this stage then I guess it's just bad luck, however if someone does use something other than the software previously mentioned, or has tweaked their settings in someway as to overcome the current issues I'd be very interested in hearing from you.

Thanks
Murdoch
