Jebus has pretty much got it, though I would relabel "low mid-range" into "average player", and "high mid-range" into "good player"
On another note, from one thread that I read and I can no longer find, people in the 800-1100 ELO range are where all the tryhard Ragers, QQers, Leavers, AFKers float and is the worst ELO range in the game as of right now. Not sure how accurate this info is since it's subjective and biased, but... well good luck if you're stuck here. Supposedly this is the worst of ELO Hell.

Hehe, well my elo has never been under 1200, fortunately. But you find ragers/AFKers and such kids everywhere. My elo is almost 1500, so I don't think it's bad. :)

True, but what I meant was this is the ELO range where there are the MOST ragers/leavers in the game. According to some people who have run the ELO gamut, You're pretty much guaranteed one leaver and multiple ragers/QQers every game.
Anyway, I think your ELO is pretty good. Better than mine anyway, though not quite a good comparison considering I don't play much ranked.

i'm stuck in elo hell, somewhere between 800-900.
i'm never getting out because
a) i can't make premades with my buddies and w/e
b) you have to win 2 games in order to upset the ammount of elo lost from one game.

So far the only advice I've found to help those stuck in ELO hell is:
1. You're not as good as you think you are. Get better at the game.
2. Duo queue with friends at higher ELO than you.
3. Play worse and go to a lower ELO for more relaxing and laid back games.

As several of my friends and I have learned, there will always be people making huge mistakes in ranked games that will cost you the game no matter what elo. There will always be leavers, and people that have 5 'bad games' in a row. I've just found that Ranked 5v5 the only true competitive elo fight. Solo is full of dumb players, and 3v3 is just, play 3 tanks and you win. As a result, I'm going to try to venture to the depths of elo hell, and back in Solo Queue.

I hear many people saying, ahh low elo noob or something like that. Now I want to know when your elo is low or high? Is everything under 1500 low? Or how do you think about it?
