Im new to ahri and i have been reading a few guides lately to understand her better. This is a very good guide, i always like to see a section with combos/skill sequence, and early/mid/late game role explanation. +1 for that!
I cant really comment on items yet, as I dont have much experience with her. But i do have a few questions, i dont know which build is best yet (item wise), could you help understand your decision process; What are your thoughts on lichbane? And getting an early hextech revolver? Some guides seem to favor those 2 items, and some dont; just want to understand the positive/negative for the item selection.
Big thanks!
Glad you liked my guide!
I think the guide explains in details only two items : Why I get DFG and why I don't get RoA. I'm actually working on a more detailed mid-game item path to DFG and Rylai's. I've been playing Ahri again a lot more these days (on a 9 wins streak with her atm :D ). I have a chapter to add on kiting and a lot of clips I want to mix in. Sadly, LOLReplay does not work for me right now.
But I can briefly answer on top of my head for the two items you mentioned.
My thoughts on Revolver : I don't actually lane much with Ahri after level 6. Her passive is enough to keep me going between pushes and ganks. I also recall much more than your usual mid (after ganks for example). Hence why I favor teleport over Ignite. I nets me a lot more kills while securing presence in my lane. I also don't enjoy solo queue and play exclusively with 2-4 RL friends, so we always have the jungler. I follow up almost every gank. Pots and passive are enough sustain for me. By mid-game I want my Rylai's asap for team fights. I do buy revolver when I solo top.
Lich Bane : I think I would have to adjust my playstyle too much. My other dominant mids are Xerath and Lux, which favor a very cautious positioning playstyle. Against coordinated teams I don't like to AA. When I CAN AA, the fight is usually won already. As soon as I get LOLReplay working I will show clips to demonstrate how I team fight and kite with Ahri. You'll see that Lich Bane doesn't fit quite right. I'm sure it works well for some players though. I'll have to experiment more with it late game.

That's exactly how I play Ahri..the only difference is the masteries. My team usually accused me for rushing deathfire so early. Glad that someone agrees with me.
Thanks man, glad you like it. It's actually the exact reason that made me create this guide. Couldn't find a build like mine.
a good guide but looking at the corki and tris kills brings me to my point... you could have easily kill both of them without burning your spirit rush
Thanks!
Well maybe I wasn't clear but the point of the videos was to demonstrate the Agressive Combo I explained above. They were not meant to demonstrate particular skill/situations.
Corki I don't think was overkill since he has valkyrie to escape, which would probably make me burn spirit rush regardless. Trist was definitely overkill, but you catch my drift, just a demo of the said combo.
I will dig out full HP ganks to make the demo clearer. Thanks again for reading and commenting.
