I never use item actives and on the rare ocassion I remember it takes me about two seconds to remember which key it's on.
I always put mine at 3 and if I have several I put them at 3-5.
Helps for remembering them.
Is it really that hard to reach Alt with your thumb? It's not doing anything useful during fights anyways, so you could make some use of it.

I guess they have the g300($40), but the g500 is $70, and it's the first mouse they make that is the same/better quality than razor's stuff.
Honestly, if you're looking for a low price, high quality mouse, i would look @ the R.A.T. 3 instead of logitech or razor.
