Nidalee is very strong on poke comps. Nid with blue buff won't necessarily win lane or win games by herself, but she is very good at forcing disengagements. When you're opponent feels like they have the upper-hand, landing a long range spear on 1-2 enemies can force them to back off. In that regards she is very strong. But this requires alot of team coordination so it's not ideal for solo queue.

Cassiopeia has significantly stronger presence than morgana. She may not have black shield, but she makes up for it in damage. It's not even a contest who has more damage

When you are going for pure damage numbers than Cassio win with her nonstop dmg if you land Q.
But for me Morgana is just so much stronger in utility part and preparing kills if your team do some dmg.
The morgana standard with zhonya enable you to survive during teamfights. Also shield and CC are perfect kite tools.
Also morgana is offensive initator, as cassio you need to wait enemy to start, so forcing fights for objectives with cassio dmg is rly good strategy.

you may be correct, landing a morgana bind can initiate, and it is significantly hard for cassiopeia to do that, but cassiopeia can disengage an enemy much more effective; strong poke and perhaps the best ability to kite in the game make it really hard to engage on cassiopeia.
