So I have been lvl 30 for a while now and I am seriously thinking about playing Ranked games. But I'm not sure if I should (can only play solotop, Urgot and AP mid properly) because I don't want to end up in ELO hell straight away. What do you think I should do? Practice some Draft games first or just go for it? And how did you guys go ranked?

You might consider getting your normal ratio positive first.

Practising in draft normal is a good first step. Just approach it as if it were ranked and try to counterpick. If you find yourself unable to counterpick enemies with champs you play well 9 times out of 10, you probably need more experience.

also you need at least 16 champions, cause it could be the case that 6 of them get banned and 9 of them are already chosen. And not to forget you need to know how to play every role!! That means learn to jungle/support/tank/carry/middleing and go for sure you're good in skill-shots

But imo you can also master 2 champs for each roll. But atleast you should play (esspecially populair champs) a couple of times to understand their mechanics

I can only play 3 champs properly and i'm 1500 elo trolololol.

Well tbh. I play ranked when i play serious, and play normals when i'm watching tv, doing homework, chatting, i also use it for testing guys wether or not to duo-q. U can do it whenever u want to really... It will be around ur skill-level after 50'ish games. So i play ranked for serious play, and play normals elsewhere.

Don't be affraid of ending in elo-hell, because u're already there. If u're bad, u will end <1000 if you're good u will end >1500. Just like ur normal elo, this will match u with equal opponents and equal enemies.

This. Not to sound like a doucher but you should take normals a bit more seriously and learn some things from Norms before you step into the tryhard land of Ranked. I understand there are trolls in Normals but they're less common in Draft Mode compared to Blind. :)

^ he raises a good point. I know a lot of people who just do blind pick and there's definitely lots to gain from playing draft, be it player strategy or simply counter picking.
