His Q works with spellvamp, his passive does not. As the name suggests, spellvamp only applies to spells. :P

Yes. It does work like that. You also heal off of smite and ignite.

Yeah I'd heard you healed from Smite but I assumed that was a bug or something. That's a little misleading.
