serious. the possibility exists. sure its easier with smite, but its possible with ignite too :p
what's wrong with duo-lane? worked well whenever i tried^^
Sure, you can probably pull this of in a normal game vs. low skilled opponents. But vs players with average or above average skills, this just ain't going to work. Duo lane with a melee character? you will get pubstomped by a decent AD range and support.
Smite should always be a summoner skill for a jungler, there is no but...
Securing baron and dragon is just to important to neglect, just because you can jungle without it dosen't mean you should.
This is some real "elo hell"-material.

smite is useless in my opinion, because there are more reliable summoner spells... you can steal baron/dragon with ignite, too...

and with laning, i don't refer to solo-top. if you've got a partner on your side (as i've stated) it's way easier to keep up.
