While our primary goal was to organize the mountain of content everyone has created we also recognize the value of discussing simple and quick builds without indepth guides to accompany them. This theory crafting can now be done on the forums in a new topic dedicated to this very goal.
While you are not allowed to post links to your builds or guides on the rest of the forum, this new topic is a place for you to do that, create your quick idea and post it up without fear of reprimand. It's your idea, shout loudly and proudly, just do it here: Build & Guide Discussion
A huge Gratz to DEWO! A true ambassador of MOBAFire, it's fitting yer the first. Cheers!

Well we are screwed... Dewo mod... just gonna copy past this conversastion me and matt had:
Potatisfarfar: This forum is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions
Matt: What do you mean, "biblical"?
Potatifarfar: What i mean is Old Testament, Mr. matt, real wrath of God type stuff
Matt: what kind of stuff?
Potatisfarfar: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!
Matt: All right, all right! I get the point!
Still here we are att the so called D-DAY. and i'm proud to be appart of the community. Keep upp the good work, as always.

Potatis, awesome ;D
Jebus, we're working with DEWO to figure out what tools are needed. Right now, Moderators have the ability to archive guides (currently used only on guides that spam to cheat the character limit) as well as move, delete, sticky and lock forum threads (and the reverse). They can also do all the things Veterans can already do. More privileges will be added in the future, as necessary. Some things may always remain only under Administrator control, such as banning users, but we will see as things progress :)
Note that, if you feel you have somehow been wronged, you can always use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the site to send me an email, even if you're not logged in.

You need to log in before commenting.
The previous 300 character minimum requirement for a guide to be considered complete has been upped to 5,000 characters. Additionally, the browse page "quality" filter has been modified to the following four options:
The default quality filter has been changed to "Full Guide" as well. Listings across the site also filter out any guides that do not meet the 5,000 character requirement (some may still be showing all guides, they will be changed shortly). The warning about incomplete guides has been modified to include a note that any attempts to cheat the character count by spamming letters/words/phrases will be reviewed by the moderators, and will be considered a breach of site rules. So don't do it :)
The purpose of this change is to make it significantly easier for users to find the quality guides, to help combat spam, to drive more traffic and in turn more votes and comments to the highest quality guides, and to reduce the amount of time needed to track and moderate all of the posts. Note that it is perfectly fine to post a guide with no description or with a very short description. However, those guides will no longer be promoted around the site as there are just WAY too many now.
Finally, we have promoted our first moderator! We asked DEWO if he would be willing to help us keep things under control and he has accepted, offering up his own time to help organize and moderate the site. We really appreciate the help, DEWO!! We will eventually promote more moderators in the future, we are considering this a "beta" for future moderation on the site. We'll be working with DEWO to improve the moderator controls and establish some moderator guidelines.
