It's not just the crit chance, it's the unique passive. His bonus crit chance synergizes with the unique passive on IE, and IE synergizes with itself by giving a lot of AD.
You have a point. However, IE is a very expensive item, so apart from the unique passive, you don't get very awesome stats. It does give a lot of ad, but sanguine blade should set you good.
Seems workable, but I'd consider testing an earlier IE a couple games and seeing how it goes. I don't really play Trynd, so I can't promise how it'll go.
You will pick up enough crit chance along the way. If you build too much crit chance, you'll end up wasting stats. Keep in mind that his passive will already give him 35% crit chance, so you need to focus on other, more important stats.
