as a member of the 1800-2k club i can assure you that people are just as big of *******s at this elo. the difference is that in general there are less trolls and people have thicker skin (and, obviously, better skilled players). 1800-2k is full of tryhards who are desperate for 2k, so everyone is super serious. 2.2k + though is pretty chill, because noone gives a **** and everyone knows everyone

Thanks to Anal Samurai for the sig!

I remember a recent game where I got my team to accept me as leader, and we won the game 39 team kills to 46 deaths, by taking all 3 Barons by different means. It was one of the best matches of my life.

1. People have bad games. Sometimes I have a couple of off games or get a matchup which wrecks me; you're helping literally no-one by telling me "omg noob [x] u suck so bad". Also remember all of your bad games when someone isn't doing so well.

2. Be positive. Seriously. Below super-high ELO (1800-2000), 80% of victories are from getting people to shut up, stop bickering, and follow the commands of someone who knows what they're doing. Best way to do that is to calm everyone down, inspire them with your confidence, and get the leader (for me I can usually do it but you may not be able to) to lead. Note that this is different from initiating fights.

I don't agree with your suggestions where you claim "people rage at high elo." No they don't. It is incredibly rare to see someone who is high elo and also a huge rager.

Even getting into the 1600s, you will notice, the raging idiots are less. The quiet players are more common.

Sure, everyone can get annoyed by bad plays and maybe say something not as pleasant. Occasionally a high elo may berate someone else or criticize them. But do not confuse harsh criticism with full on raging and insulting someone.

But there is NO DOUBT that in high elo you have much less ragers, and much less berating other players.

People are more quiet, or they are less likely to respond to your nonsense comments.

TRUUUUEEEE. The higher elo the less flamer I think.
most of the flamers usually drop ELO because they are distracting the whole team.

Yeah, it's smart to follow someone who actually knows what they're doing.

In lower ELOs people don't have wards or anything near dragon early. Pulling your mid and bot lanes away for a minute for dragon at 4 or 5 minutes in can snowball into a win, especially if you do it a lot.

Elo is not a measure of skill, its just a measure of how non ******ed you are.

I was laughing when he said this on stream, but you know it is actually kind of true. A big portion of getting up in Elo is NOT making stupid plays and helping your team to not make them. Typically you will have the skill to play vs people at your elo evenly, the big challenge is getting your team to group and coordinating plays. Acting selfishly and ******ed will just keep you low ELO.

Your attitude works out in the most cases, but sometimes I just can't hold myself:

Example: "OMFG that noob jungler didn't camp bot and just ganked top so far (5 min in the game 1 kill at top from my gank), I'm afk!!!"

I think the 1800's are the worst attitudes I've ever encountered.
