Volibear is my favorite to tank with. He's easily my favorite initiator tank because of his Q and his E slows. Plus he knows how to take a chunk out of the enemies hp (literally). Just stack hp items, especially Warmog's Armor and he rocks.

I think Alistar is the most fun.Flashing in and headbutting squishies into the middle of your team is great.He is bad when somebody else is him though, cause they headbutt people that I'm about to kill away from me :D

Amumu beside being the weirdest damn champ in the game is also probably the best tank. Bandage toss, ult, GG.

We have to categorize tanks before: "A tank is a champ which can survive high damage, can control the enemy team and protect the weaker ones, which are important for the group through their dmg."

I think, the best tanks actually are the supportive tanks which act out of the jungle or at bot lane. They don't need very much farm and can do what they can even if underfarmed.

Jungle: Nautilus, Maokai, Shen, Sejuani
Bot lane: Alistar, Leona
