Only game they played well, but my god did they play well
Sad about Italy going down to 10 men, second half was sooooo boring.
Man of the tourney Iniesta? Why?? :|
I'd say Alba if anyone out of the Spanish team. Still voting Pirlo personally though, what a tournament he's had.
Completely agree, except I'd pick Casilias for. Everyone takes his quality in goal for granted, but if you think about it, didn't concede a single goal in the knock-out stages and only 1 in the group stages (If I remember correctly). Heart of the team + the captain, who (with the coach) has to maintain peace in the team which can easily be disturbed by the Clasico rivalry.

Well the reason they don't concede goals is often because they don't give the ball away and if they do, they immediately start to re-pressure to make sure they never lose possesion where it's dangerous. But yes, a lot of respect to Casillas, I like how he even went around to shake hands with the Italians right after the end of the match, just to show respect - When the rest of the Spanish team was celebrating together. :)
I dont think winning the final as a team should be taken into account when looking at a prize for individual players.
Also I don't think Spain have played well at all except for the final, not sure about Iniesta specifically but I don't see why a Spain player should automatically win it considering their mediocre performances.

Well Iniesta was MoM in at least in the final, in the first match against Italy and in the 4-0 victory against Ireland. Pirlo was also MoM in 3 matches, I think Iniesta won it since he was MoM in the final. I agree that Pirlo was insanely good, he was imo the carrying player for Italy (Balotelli too, against Germany). Pirlo was MoM in 2 knockout matches which talks for him as the player of the tournament, but as I said before I think the main reason Iniesta won was because Spain won with him as MoM in the final. Not saying that I think Iniesta was better, I think they were both outstanding. :)
