All this guide needs is picks. For example, in mid Jayce is generally good against Xerath and Veigar, and bad against Zed and Nidalee.
Otherwise, great guide.
Ok so there's one thing that disturbs me. Even though it is a pretty good build you miss one thing that is i think pretty important.
The enemy MUST NOT know what you're doing next. And by setting your gate before your q the enemy WILL know that you're going to poke him.
One simple thing that will surprise them is to fire your q and only THEN set your gate. That way you'll surprise them and they won't have the time to split up in order to avoid your shot. And this move is really not hard to master i guarantee this to you.
Yeah, I wrote this guide a long time ago - pretty much the first week after Jayce was released - and I didn't know about that trick then. I found out pretty soon after, and just haven't updated the guide for that :p It's not an essential move to know but it does help - however by playing Jayce and watching people on streams/videos, people will probably figure it out anyway. Thanks for the feedback!
This is my point of view. Idon't force you to change yours but maybe mentionning it would be better for people having hard time sustaining their lane.

Hey, nice guide. I also wanted to know if its okay to build Last whisper before IE or Ghost blade?
Thanks man! As for building LW before IE/Ghostblade... that would be situational. If you were to have a very rough laning phase and are behind so much that the enemy has more armor than you have damage (you don't deal enough damage), then getting LW before either item would be perfect. However, you should only consider a purchase like that if at least two of the enemy have 200+ armor. Hope that helps!
