By the way, can you remind me what your final items were before you changed the build? Deathfire grasp is a fine item, but often is more situational, and usually feels like you can kill almost anyone without it anywho, but I'll try it lol.

Also, I usually find it better to grab an Elixir of Brilliance or two instead of grabbing a 2ed or a 3rd Doran's, the Doran's is sort of an item you grab if you're failing, more so then I think you should do as a norm during the game, better to just rush sorc boots and either grab a elixir or a blasting wand if you can afford it.

Thanks for replying to me by the way Isthatok, and ty about the name lol, but yea, after quite a few games, I think it would be best to conclude that the potency runes will do more for you then swiftness. Zyra's speed once you get the boots is already 380, and I find that to be quite standard, no reason wasting 15 AP getting a little bit more speed out of that when you could just kill anyone who tries to come at you. Also, I think Zyra is a pretty solid champion in dealing with gap closers, initially I had a huge problem with midding against LeBlanc because yea, if you don't land your snare, you're ****ed, but it seems your snare outranges her initial jump for the most part, so if you manage to lock her, just poke in with a quick Q and run away again, and you'll deal a good amount of damage without taking any yourself, and if you're real pro, you'll remember to plant a seed before you jet, increasing the damage all that much more.... But yea, the main thing is either saving the snare for after they jump you, or being sure to never take anyone on directly.

I don't know what people are saying about being a bad farmer, I'm lv 30 and I always get 15-20 kills plus in every game, and actually hit an all time high of 227 CS by the end of one game, never hit that high on anyone, so I must say shes the easiest farmer ever... If you're having a hard time farming, then it prolly is because you're trying to rely specifically on your plants to do it for you... Zyra isn't different from any other champ, you're auto attack is going to be doing much of the farming if you don't want to run out of MP on oneshotting your targets.

I actually can't fathom how it would be hard to get CS with Zyra, if anything, shes the best MP farmer in mid besides maybe Ziggs, not only does her Q deal massive damage, it not only hardly costs any MP, but you can sprout a plant at no cost to clean up any other minions you missed. And another thing I find almost OP is her snare, which goes in a line hitting multiple targets, this may just be me because I prefer to max out the snare before I max out the seed, but the snare tends to oneshot all the minions in a line, then you just clean it up with your Q... Although theres hardly ever anything to clean up.

I'm not sure what you guys are all complaining about, this is a great build, and I don't think the guy deserves to be *****ed at for all the work hes put in.

Last 4 games i have started with with E at lvl 1 (maxing Q first ofc) and it helps manage mana till u recall (especially if u have teleport). Last longer without having to recall means more gold to buy more stuff on first recall (such as a Meki Pendant a couple of wards and some HP potions). It also allows you to easily hit all the minions coming in before they split up.

Pretty good guide. It's really close to how i build her. Only thing i don't agree with is not using Athens unholy grail. I think its a great item for Zyra, especially early game. The CDR is nice plus the 90 AP and magic resist helps quite a bit in mid lane vs another AP. Not to mention it makes your skills much more spam able during laning phase.

Here's the order i usually build her in:
boots of speed + 3 health pots
chalice of harmony
sorcerer's boots
athens unholy grail
Deathcap
Ryali's crystal scepter
zhonya's hourglass
Either thornmail/guardian angel or banshee's veil/force of nature (depending on enemy team)
