I just fixed my mouse as well. Faulty hardware on the IM 1.1 sometimes incorrectly reports the mouse-up event as a mouse-down even, generating ghost double-clicks.
Found a program that will fix the issue by forcibly changing all double-down events to down/up when pressed in a very short period (impossible by normal means, so it won't ever screw up regular double clicking).
Feels awesome, bro. God-tier mouse nonetheless (original Microsoft IntelliMouse 1.1a @ 400 dpi)

Dem intellimouses. Everyone loves them but they just feel too much on the heavy side for me, I'm more of a Logitech mini optical kind of guy. Lighter mice make me happy

I used a Wireless Mouse Optical for years before this so I was used to a much, much heavier mouse - the IM feels practically weightless now.
Update: My IntelliMouse actually still double clicks occasionally even with the MouseFix.exe, and now actually sometimes doesn't recognize legit double clicks when I perform them. In games, the double clicking still occurs practically always - which is very very painful when trying to navigate the shop, clicking an item once will accidentally but it, or I'll accidentally buy two elixirs in a row.
Worst of all, the program seems to force my mouse polling rate to 125 Hz, down from 1000 Hz.
Ordered a new IntelliMouse now, should be coming in the mail anytime soon.

That sucks but oddly enough, there are plenty of Intellimouses in local stores where I am, that seems to be opposite of the case of most people.

Problem with my lovely sexy mouse was that: The mouse wheel was squeaking, oh no!
So I looked up the solution around the net but I couldn't find anything other than one video on youtube, but it was doing the "fix" with a different model of mouse: a Razer Mamba, whereas I have a Razer Abyssus. So I figured "Eh, mice are always made the same.. right?"
So I go downstairs, get a screwdriver and a can of silicon spray and I take off the bottom mouse foot of my Abyssus, unscrew it and pop off the top of my mouse. I see the thing that was being talked about in the video. There's a little bar on the mouse wheel that connects to a circular thing that touches a white strip that reads the mousewheel. After seeing that I spray the silicon onto a cotton swab (q-tip) and wipe it on the circular thingy AND the white strip that reads the movements for the mousewheel. I use the other end and dry it off (although not thoroughly) and then I pop everything back on.
I've been using my mouse for a good 2 hours after I fixed the mouse wheel squeak and everything's working fantastically. I personally feel ****ing magical cause I didn't think I could fix it so easily but eh, good thing I didn't break anything. Also, hopefully this will help future problems if any of you decide to get a Razer product (which by the way, are ****ing awesome).
Just sayin' ;)
