Not ideal at all. It would be difficult to impossible to prevent your opponents from pushing early, allowing them early towers for global gold. Likewise, it will be difficult to prevent your opponents from farming, give them more of a gold advantage.
Very early in the game, your team won't be tanky enough to dive towers, so if your opponents ward they could neuter your idea without too much trouble. Attempts to dive towers before your team starts to hit 6 are likely to result in trades, preventing your team from really getting much of an advantage from them.
You're also going to give your opponents a massive exp advantage mid game, which may come back to bite you in early teamfights.
Short answer, not generally viable, but possibly fun to play in normal games.

In all seriousness though, it would be too difficult to pull off. It will work if the other team has no coordination, but I wouldn't recommend it for any competitive or Ranked play
