You can overclock it a bit. Even at 800MHz (700MHz is standard) it will barely reach body temperature. 1GHz shouldn't be a problem, but I ain't got one, so I don't really know :3
Update on the demand: I don't know how long ago this was, but the orders on RasPi was up in the 500.000 area.

They've ramped up the manufacturing to 4000 "Pies" a day to meet the crazy demand. You can now buy more than one Pi per person. I think it's time I try to get one or two soon :)

He has even modded in a USB hub. All you have to do is just connect it to a power-socket and to a screen and you're good to go (possibly to a mouse too).
