It's so people don't afk and miss a pick/ban...I perosnally don't like it because the timer is pretty short(you mightbe browning the web well que popped ect and cant insta click).

I think this is one of the smarter things Riot has done
sometimes people just cant play a game and should be able to deny
other times they are afk and it would be bad to ruin someone else's game

It actually helped me lol. I have a fast comp so when I would click play now go into the lobby and call top no one else would be in yet(Then they would try and call top, and there would be this big issue). Now they at least see it. Though it does irk me how many people don't accept to get in the game.
