***FROM SUPPORT TO NON-SUPPORT***

I've been playing for about six to seven months now, and I've taken a great liking to playing the role of support in all of my games (either Soraka or Sona). I feel like it's time for me to broaden my champion pool, but I have no idea who to "transition" with. I normally play casters, since I don't enjoy having to get into melee range, and I'm not too big on things with no "escape buttons"...any suggestions?

Champions that I already own, but SELDOME use:

I find "comparing epeen" trivial, so I play support.

I'd recommend starting with AP Casters.

Morgana, Orianna, Zilean are great utility mages that probably would be similar to your supports.

EDIT: If you're referring to more supports, from what you described I think Janna and Lulu would be the best to learn next. Nunu would also be a good pick, however with Nunu you have no sustain. If you're looking for aggressive supports, look to Leona, Alistar, and Blitzcrank.

depends if you still want to support with new champs or are you asking in general?

ranged supports i can think of apart soraka and sona... janna is stronK and zilean is really good in tf, his laning phase isnt weak aswell

for the more aggressive supports you'd take nunu, blitz, leona

edit: lulu is cool aswell

@RosePhoenix- Thanks a bunch! I've edited the OP to show that I'm not looking for another support to play. hehehe.

@fifolek- Sorry for the confusuion. I'm looking for a non-support champ to roll with.

Karma, early game you will fill in an aggressive Ap mid kill role, and late game you will transition to a supporty-Ap carry feel.

Thanks for the input! I'll try her out, when she rotates in.

Depends on your style of play. However, I'd say you would like to play AP Mids with utility since you're used to having it to help your team, I'd think, so Orianna, Zyra, Morgana, Lux, Zilean and Karma might all work. If you REALLY wanna let go of your supportish maners, you can try something else, like Ryze, Swain, Vladimir, ...

Annie, Lulu, AP Master Yi, Ryze, Teemo, AP Tristana, Vladimir, Zilean.

It seems you like AP casters, so I would suggest there.

However, I would also suggest you try out AD carry, so you get the other perspective on the bottom-lane, so Ashe, Miss Fortune, Teemo and Tristana might be worth a try.

OK here is what you need:
Nunu & Willump, Maokai, Zilean. These guys are all great supports with good escapes and good AP scaling that can do other jobs well. Nunu & Willump and Maokai are fantastic junglers, and Zilean is hilarious to mid, and damn near impossible to gank, Speaking of, Maokai ganks from the jungle are GOD TIER. These are the champs that I usually support with, I own Soraka and have never played her. Don't care to, I don't see her impact in late game being that useful, unlike the other three. Just IMO. Anyway, learn those champs, and u will have 2 other positions to play. Hell, nunu and maokai can even top, if u so desire.

Holy jeebus, I'm loving Maokai! Still play him as support, but it feels great to be able to easily zone people out, and have the ability to support AND tank late game! :D
