I sure will buy it, maybe even on release (I NEVER do that, waitin' for steam sales ya know :3).
Also; it'll be for all platforms, which should include Linux, so I'm glad this game will follow me when I make the transition (which will be in a year or two, I think).

I've had a bunch of fun with it. It has great music, fun old-school gameplay, BUT it's a flash game :(
And flash is generally a pretty bad engine for real games. Things like bad performance and platform support plague it.
So now they decided to remake the game in a new engine with tons more stuff!
This was primarily done so that they could get it onto consoles and handhelds(woop, playin' it on Android :D), but it's gonna be for PC too, and I for one and very happy about that :)
