Gunblade is not worth purchasing. All of Kat's damage is AOE outside of E. Your R would have to deal 2k damage to three separate targets to heal for the 300 health you could have going with either Protobelt or Rylai's. And that's only if you get ideal conditions. Pffft. Also, as your main version of escape and triggering your daggers, E prioritizing is key to having her go off. Q is good and important, so you can't ignore it, but starting Q>E>W>Q>Max E will be your best bet for both survivability and damage. I'm silver and I got that. That reset timer on E getting down to .1 sec is out of this world good and important for being where you need to be WHEN you need to be there.

Hmm! This is quite interesting. But I find the decision between Hextech Protobelt and Hextech Gunblade a bit hard. :D Both seem extremely useful on Katarina. I'm predicting your build will be insane after the new Katarina update that's coming up.

You can't take this serious guys common. A gold player doing a guide, masteries are wrong, runes are like, weird, items are kinda wrong. There is so much suboptimal with this guide Oo Downvoted.

Can you drop me an Example Build for when you are Ahead & then one are behind?

Example A.) Ahead Build (etc.)

As you know, League of Legends is filling up with new Players every day & even more Players each day. Giving the Items is amazing but some people(Myself Included) are better at seeing a Cookie Cutter Visual when they decide to use a Guide from a website(Like MobaFire). This will allow us to see & adapt our Builds based off of your *Best Case Scenario* build & *Worst Case Scenario* build efficiently. Does that make sense?

May I ask why "Barrle Trance" in Ferocity instead of "Double Edged Sword" ?

With , you are dishing out the Immediate 5% damage and taking 2.5% damage back. With , you gain 1% for each second in battle(Capping at 5%"5seconds").

This works well since is an In & Out Champion with a Channel Focused Damage Output. As you know, is 's highest Damaging ability. It channels up to 5 Seconds(Level 3) which increases each blade Damage by 1% each second.

Now imagine that you have & you get knocked out of your . Not only is that extra 5% Wasted, but you are also about to take 2.5% increased damage until you Escape.(Which in this scenario, is highly unlikely & if you do escape, you will have suffered a higher loss of HP that could remove other Situation Turnarounds)

With , you won't suffer from a such a harsh Negative Effect if you get tossed out. Hope this helped!

But for example, when fighting for example a lee sin, that deals loads of ad to you. What should i do? Should i turn to a defensive build or start putting some armor runes?

An Updated Reply to your Comment as the Meta has shifted & has gotten a womp of an Update:

The best way to counter is to stay Mobile. With 's new update, it shouldn't be too rough to get out of a rock hard situation BUT REMEMBER, most likely won't build tanky in this Meta BECAUSE he falls off too hard now. Most 's you will see will now be FULL DAMAGE. This will make them an Easy Target but also make them a Dangerous one. Your best bet to counter a would be to Grab Zhonya's 3rd-4th Item & Literally avoid him all around UNLESS you are absolutely SURE you have an Advantage. wasn't a Joke before and he definitely isn't one Now. Good luck!

Platinum Katarina main here. The new mastery isn't really that good since Katarina's issues are with he laning phase and 1.5% extra dmg when target is alone won't really help and the immediate 20 HP given by the cookies could help you survive a ticking ignite or any other DoTs ( it helped me a lot :P ) as for Masteries I go with 18/12 key stone is Thunderlord because it's really strong atm and the 12 in resolve to make Katarina's laning phase better by surviving more harass and trades plus the 20% reduced cool down on summoners is really neat :D Hope that helped :)
