I think that's the point of Fairy Tail and what makes it so appealing, though. Between the good laughs and the ridiculous fighting which really doesn't have any elements of sense, you get a really fun-to-read manga.
I've been reading GE - Good Ending. I'm not sure if I would rate it as popular, but it certainly has very applicable things to its audience. It certainly was heartbreaking to read. I think that's a good thing if it can provoke emotional reaction from its audience, which seems to be what it's trying to do.
Yea, I know, but Fairy Tail is mostly popular among younger people; for good reason.

The problem is that in the store i buy mangas, the chapter 2 is out of stock...I´ll ask the owner when is going to get more of that...And i´ll try to read Tower of God if i find it.
I would buy the entire Berserk collection of volumes if they weren't so darn expensive. They're like 25$ at Swedish retailers (which would total ~800bucks, that's waaaay too much for my limited income :/).
Tower of God is a web-based manhwa (Korean manga) and I don't think there's any way to buy English versions of it. Just read it on Batoto.net.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

After not being much into Anime a friend of mine asked me to give Death Note at least a try.
I have to admit that I am now 10 episodes in and quite intrigued. The plot is not triple AAA quality but at least it is easy accisible by a westerner like me and I like the different shades of grey as the moral ambiguity of the protagonists gets more and more faded.
Quite entertaining, really want to know which party comes out ahead of all those mindgames...

I just reached the end of the translated Naruto Manga. I really thought the manga was further ahead of the animé than what is the case.
I simply wonder what they can come up with after the ongoing fight. Rather exciting so far, though :3 Not sure here, no spoilers are allowed, right? o_i

Other than this ongoing manga, which I'm waiting for the next part of, I guess the only manga I've read is Death Note. Which I loved to no end. I've read it 3-4 times at least - been a while since last time though. The ending is absolutely lovable. I still didn't watch the animé version of the ending, however, but I don't feel like I need to see it. I'm quite content with the ending in the manga. Death Note is thus far the only manga I've read "in-hand" so to speak. Whereas Naruto is the only other manga I've read, has been through the internet.

Of other animés, I've seen Bleach a lot, but then suddenly it seemed like the main plot ended somewhat, and it started all over. I didn't want to watch anymore of it after that. Weak Ichigo is boring Ichigo. :S
Also I've seen Elfen Lied, which was rather nice and unique, somewhat. Not sure what else to say of it.
Then I've also seen a bit of... I believe Beyblade o.o But that was very brief - a short nostalgic-ish flashback thingy from when I used to battle with Beyblades against other kids in school. xD
Can't think of much else. Naruto and Bleach have been the two animés that I have watched the most.

I've read some of it. It's kinda cute, but I've read better.
My guilty pleasure is to read romance mangas every now and then. I like feeling all gooey inside :3

The World Only God Knows is surprisingly good for what I thought it would be.
