Hm, I've always gone Abyssal first (always as in 3 kata games, 1 of them aram) and damages were fine. Either way, doesn't matter has AP and works well on her.

Abyssal first is perfectly fine. The only time I wouldn't get it first is when I go haunting guise cause I'm winning my lane hard and even then abyssal would be my second item.
