i dunno why people want a mermaid it would be completely out of place, unless it moved by hopping or slithered like cass, or even swam in the air? but i dunno i dont see much for a mermaid cuz if you wanna play a mermaid just play cass and buy her siren skin

I can't really see anything being 'out of place' in LoL. :P
I mean, most champs don't fit together at all, stand Blitz and Viktor next to Tryndamere and Olaf. :/

Personally, I could take em, or leave em, I'd rather see an actual dark mage, using shadow magic or something. Or a water mage, cause we STILL don't have one >.<

well imean they can make sense because they have worlds for them, freljord and zaun, but they dont really have an atlantis other than fizz's dead city and the fact that a mermaid would need to be in the water to move just doesnt make sense

Well Fizz didn't have a dead city, before Fizz came out :P
They can make whatever the hell they want in the ocean, and it'd work. If they suddenly came up with a new city, where there were giant volcanic dragons in the middle of runeterra, yeah it'd kinda ruin lore, but no one knows what's underwater, so it kinda works.
As for the movement, Urf seems to get around just fine ;)
