If he ran on energy his jungle would be ******ed. He would never EVER have to leave. Way too broken, what Grandmaster said is true, he would need a total rework, and wouldn't even be the same champ. What cooper said is also true, i LOVE his buffs he got in the last patch, they really did alot to help him out.

I just played a game as AP Yi in on of the in houses.
Did perfectly fine with him in his current state.
I see no reason to switch him to energy. Unless you'd want him to be more broken (as AP) than he is now. AD Yi, does need some love (as do most melee ADCs).
To Clarify I consider Yi/Tryndamaere/Fiora as melee ADCs Xin/Jarvan/Wukong are bruisers IMO.

champions that use energy do so because they have powerful spells, so have to really plan their uses.
like lee sin for obvious reasons, if you go in mash buttons he runs out of energy and you have to wait on your ***.

I honestly don't care if he was to run on mana or energy, because at any rate he gets to the point, just like most champions, where mana doesn't even matter. But regardless, I don't think it would really impact his gameplay that much. I can't say for sure, but that wouldn't make sense to me. Of course, if Lee Sin or Zed ran on mana, that would be crazy. But I would support a complete Master Yi rework. Like the one Nidalee received this week, Master Yi really needs one.
