IMO much of the "how good are you at a certain role" is also decided by your personal preference.
I for one like to go knee deep into a fight, either rooting for the "Charge 'em" AD melee, the "One man army" tank or "Blast and retreat" burst AP.
But I'm totally out of the picture with ranged ADCs, simply can't getting used to playing a fragile champ that has to stay in the opponents range. Doesn't suit me, never will.

Just gonna focus on the op since the rest of this thread is like listening to kindergarteners arguing.
Odegrar, I'll just dissect your post and just be honest.
If you're comfortable playing AD with your friends and that's what you truly like to play, great. Download LoLReplay and just play games with them. Afterwards when you guys are done playing, watch your replays and nitpick yourself for mistakes you make and strive to improve. You said it yourself, you're a bad player. Learn how to improve more and more as the games go by. Go watch streams if you feel demoralized but always try to find a stream where you can learn but also be entertained so you won't get bored. Take what you saw from the streams and try to apply it the next time you play games. You'll only get better as a player that way.
My last 4 games were defeat; I've got 120 wins, which I know is not much. Truth is I can't carry a game. I know the basics (try to last hit, try to harass, try to get fed, position in team fights, etc) but a lot of times I'm overwhelmed by the lane opposition. I know I can't blame it on the jungler, or the support; I should be the one making the enemy carry lose CS and kills.
If you're gonna play a "carry" role, you can't try to do last hitting, harassing, etc. You HAVE to. If you consistently get dominated in a lane/matchup and don't know why you lost, follow my suggestion in the first paragraph and download LoLReplay and watch for your mistakes. If you're striving to improve as a player, you should almost always walk away from a game, win or lose and know you have something to work on. Just brutally nitpick and criticize yourself. Now, I'm not saying to get all emotionally upset at yourself but be honest and don't try to push something off to the side. We all have those games where xxx lane snowballs the game out of control like a super fed AP mid roaming to bot or buff jungler coming to dunk you. Just focus on yourself and only yourself. Because once again, you yourself admitted it. You're a bad player. Just worry about yourself and you'll become a better player as long as you remain open to admitting your mistakes and strive to improve.
Streaks and game outcomes should never make you want to "quit" games. Find a role you legitimately have fun playing and you should never quit, even if you're getting stomped. Just have fun. If you feel like AD isn't your role, that's fine; go after a new role. I will bring up one point though. Support isn't a defensive role as many LoL players misconceive it to be. Support is one of the most aggressive roles in the game because of how much control support controls early game in the jungle and in bot lane with wards and just the early game pressure with kits like stun, heal, shield etc. If you only want to play support because you're scared you'll hurt your team less, you're wrong and you'll just end up hurting your AD/team more.
Or should I stick with my choice? Maybe get a mentor?
Idk, I'm really disappointed with myself. Advice is much appreciated.
I'm not the best player in the world but I think I'm pretty knowledgable and I could mentor you a bit if you want like I've done with some MOBAFire members. I can go more in-depth about the game/about your playstyle if I get to watch you play/hear about what the game is in your eyes but don't be disappointed in yourself since you're trying to be a better player. Only be disappointed if you know you're playing like trash and you're just shrugging it off on someone elses shoulder but you aren't doing that and it's commendable.

I'm lvl 30 and we're trying to put a team together with my friends. I've taken the ADC role and I'm currently maining Graves. However...
Looking at my record, I can't deny I'm a bad player.

This losing streak affected me to the point that I decided to quit the last game; I didn't log out, but I just gave up.
I know I need to improve my gaming, a lot. I just don't know how. Should I change the role? Maybe playing support is better for me - It's a more defensive role; I wouldn't risk as much as playing the adc.

First, thanks for the post.
Is there a way to share the LoL replay games? If so I could send you one or two to give me your oppinion/tips.
Also, I wholeheartedly believe Graves is not the easiest ADC to play. Besides that, you may be picking on yourself more than you should, you cannot guarantee us that your supports are doing their job right, or you are both working towards the same small goals (soraka lane: let's just farm till narnia; Leona lane: let's rape those bastards; etc)
Thank you Byron for 2014's loudest laugh up till today

Falseo, i was close to write it XD Odregar, if you want to improve, start from an easier AD carry, with a longer range to make it easier to cs and harrass..Maybe
Ashe can fit this training role, and thanks to her E (and the right items), it's also easier to finish her build and improve her game presence ;)

Be a grammar nazi with me, i need to improve my english T_T

yup, everygame you play turns into a .lrf file in your leaguereplays file and you can upload it onto the leaguereplays.com site or to a filesharing site like mediafire. You send me a replay, I'll send you a replay of me playing ADC if you'd like so you can watch at your free time.

That's funny cus I was about to say it was the hardest.
This. Positioning is easily the hardest thing in LoL.

while i love joking in forums but shouldnt we at least try to help the poster
There's not really anything specific to say other than keep practicing if you want to get better at the role. Watching some good AD players stream couldn't hurt either. There's no magic advice that someone can give to such a general question.
