I have tried building him as a bruiser but it wasn't up to par for me. The lack of tankyness was a problem at first but all i had to do to make it worn was change my play style. Play like an ADC who seeks out 1v1's. However i do very much like the Zephyr idea. Thank you for your input.

also Ravenous Hydra for aoe damage on an ability based assassin probably isnt a good choice and heal should be replaced with either exhaust to kill better with your ult or ignite for extra finishing damage.

Well the guide is decent but the build could be better. I've mained Zed since the day he came out and he is most definitely a bruiser assassin. Building crit rating probably isn't a great idea since his abilities scale off of flat AD. You need some HP/defence items or some movement speed. I would replace the phantom dancer with Zephyr and replace the infinity edge with Frozen Mallet. the tenacity will prevent your ult from being wasted and the mallet will help slow them so you get full potential from Death Mark. Also the hp is nice because in a team fight you can initiate easily by using Death Mark on their carry for an easy kill then Living Shadow out before they can get to you. The glass cannon build on Zed just isn't what he is made for. Sure he is an assassin, but I kill everything fine with a decent bruiser build.
